Capital Funding

Primarily, LEA funding should be provided through the DfES Schools Access Initiative (SAI) for 2003/2004 and beyond. In addition, all schools now receive significant amounts of money for capital improvements to buildings via Devolved Formula Capital.

Necessary improvements will include not only the physical aspects of accessing schools, but will also take into account lower incidence disabilities such as hearing, visual impairment and dyslexia.
